Slain Akwa Ibom job seeker laid to rest,as Police parade her suspected killer

The remains of slain Akwa Ibom job seeker Ini Umoren who was brutally raped and killed by a suspected ritualist Uduak Frank Akpan,was laid to rest today.

Ini was interred on Friday at her compound in Nung Ita village in Orok Anam Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom state.

The 26-year-old, who graduated from the Department of Philosophy, University of Uyo, with a CGPA of 4.12, was raped and brutally killed after Akpan lured her on social media with a fake job interview.

Ini had gone online on April 27, to appeal for the job, but she fell into the hands of the rapist and murderer, who took her life.

Meanwhile, Uduak Frank Akpan,her suspected  killer was paraded alongside his father, before newsmen at the Akwa Ibom State Police Headquarters, Uyo today, May 14.

The internet was awash with speculations on Thursday, May 13, that Akpan had committed suicide. To dispel the rumors, the police paraded him before newsmen on Friday. See more photos below
