One of Gwen Stefani’s biggest spiritual hurdles to marrying Blake Shelton has finally been cleared, with the singer granted an annulment to her first marriage.
The 51-year-old singer was married to Bush singer Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2015, with the couple having three kids, Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12 and Apollo, 6.
Stefani is also a devout Catholic, whose faith only permits her to re-marry if the first marriage is annulled, with US Weekly reporting the annulment was, ‘finally granted.’
It was a huge relief for Gwen because she wanted to get married by her priest and have the marriage recognized by the Catholic church,’ the source added.
Sources also claimed the wedding will take place sometime early this year, at a chapel Shelton built on his Oklahoma ranch.
