Okezie Ikpeazụ, has suspended his Chief of Staff, ACB Agbazuere.
The governor’s decision was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Chris Ezem.
He said the suspension is with immediate effect.
Although Mr Ezem did not give a reason for the suspension, reports reaching us indicate that Governor Ikpeazu decided to suspend Mr Agbazuere following a video which captured him spraying naira notes on a controversial Nigerian prophet, Odumeje, inside the Government House.
Abia State has a poor record and is said to be owing it’s civil servants as much as 13 months salary. Added to the fact that the country is currently in a recession, it is indeed highly irresponsible for any government official to be seen recklessly throwing money about.
