Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg joins the Centibillionaire club

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s fortune has topped $100bn for the first time, placing him among members of the world’s centibillionaires club and making him the 3rd richest man on earth.

Mark Zuckerberg, has joined Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos, and Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates, as the only three people with centibillionaire status.

Zuckerberg co-founded Facebook from his Harvard dorm room in 2004, and his biggest asset is still his 13% stake in the company, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires index, which tracks the world’s wealthiest people.

Mark was propelled to his new status after Facebook’s shares surged by 6% on the news that the company plans to launch Instagram Reels, a rival to the Chinese video-sharing application TikTok.
