#endSARS: Protesters return to the streets, renew calls for police reforms

The second wave of the End SARS protests commenced in Lagos, Oyo, Osun States and Abuja, the nation’s capital on Monday.

Nigerian youths protesting against police brutality, extortion and extrajudicial killings, hit the streets again in different states across the country.

Young men and women trooped out in Osogbo carrying different placards explaining the reasons for their actions.

The placards read; “We are not fighting for any political party”, “#End Bad Judiciary in Nigeria”, ” #End fake judicial panel of Inquiry in Osun”, “Unfreeze all the frozen account”, ” We are Nigerian youths”.

In the Federal Capital Territory, massive turnout was recorded as young Nigerians joined in the renewed protests.

Lagos State, in an attempt to forestall another round of the protests, deployed security operatives to strategic places in the state.

The presence of security operatives at some protests venues like Ikeja, Alimosho, Iyana-Ipaja and Lekki Toll Plaza, kept protesters away from those venues.
