The Delta State government has imposed a 48 hours statewide curfew starting from 6pm today.
The State Governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa made the announcement this morning. The announcement is coming on the heels of attacks by protesters and hoodlums on state and private owned facilities.
Yesterday, we reported that protesters took over the Nigerian Ports Authority complex,Warri and some Oil facilities.
In another development,suspected hoodlums razed down the Federal Road Safety Corps office and a recreation centre along the Asaba-Onitsha expressway,in an overnight attack.
All Primary and Secondary Schools have been directed to remain closed till Monday November 2nd, 2020.
